Michael Hjorthreceived a bachelors degree in film at Bard College, nyin 1989. He soon began to write screenplays and together with Tomas Tivemark wrote the very successful tv series Bert in 1993.In 1994 Michael Hjorth, Tomas Tivemark and Johan Kindblom created the first truly successful Swedish sitcom, Svensson, Svensson, which ran for two years. After the successes with Svensson, Svensson the three screenwriters formed the company Tre Vänner (Three Friends) in 1995 that over the years has grown to be one of the largest independent production companies in Sweden.Michael Hjorth enjoys genres enormously and has written everything from comedy to horror and drama and crime. He has directed both for TV and the big screen. He is currently the creative executive producer attached to Tre Vänners International projects.In 2009 he started to write crime novels together with fellow writer Hans Rosenfeldt and they have to date published two novels. The first title is Dark Secrets ( Det Fördolda) and has already sold to 16 territories worldwide including the US.About Tre VännerTre Vänner creates worlds that people want to return to.
