Leyla Neyman is the Managing Partner of Seneschal Neyman LLC - legal company practicing in media and internet law. This brand was generated as the result of two key players merger in the field of new media law - Steiner, Neyman & Partners – copyright and media law advisory and Seneschal – internet law practice. We draft and negotiate contracts, form (and dissolve) business entities, consult in business issues, advise clients about their legal rights, deal with trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property issues, and help growing companies in organization and defining in certain business field.
Prior to joining Steiner, Neyman & Partners, Ms. Neyman worked as Chief Legal Adviser in number of TV companies. Leyla’s engagements include work as Senior Legal Adviser, Legal Department of NTV Broadcasting Company, Moscow (a pioneer of independent media in Russian Federation) and NTV-PLUS (leading Satellite TV company). Further to hhis occupation Leyla held post of Head of Licensing Department at RICOR TV (Interactive Television Company), where she enabled launch of satellite television broadcasting by overseeing the acquisition of TV rights to such major TV channels like Discovery, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and others. Presently Leyla is working under her PhD in a related field of study.
Ms. Neyman has extensive management skills and experience in Intellectual Property field, and at the present moment working for Seneschal Neyman Leyla is focused on copyright and neighboring rights protection, content clearance, registration and enforcement litigation, drafting and analyzing of producer, manager and actors agreement, Master Use and synchronization matters, TV format usage and others. In her legal practice Ms. Neyman represents Russian and foreign clients in commercial deals involving content licensing, trademark issues throughout all areas of the Media sector: terrestrial, cable and satellite TV & Radio broadcasting, Internet broadcasting, film production. Among clients of Seneschal Neyman are TV channels, filmmakers, designers, writers, producers, musicians, record labels, artist management companies, actors, composers, music licensing companies, photographers, theaters, publishing companies, social networks, and other web projects, IPTV operators and animation studios, advertizing agencies and PR/marketing firms, content providers and digital rights aggregators.
Ms. Neyman regularly participates in major local and international seminars and conferences focusing on Media, Telecom and IP sectors, both in Russia and abroad.
