Djamil KEMAL LEXIS NUMERIQUE | Marketing Director
Djamil Kemal has a 15 years background in the interactive entertainment and has also been working on transmedia and innovative storytelling. He has an extensive experience in the video game market, from classic or online video games (he was responsible for brands like Half-Life/Counter Strike in Europe, one of the most popular online games in the world) to more innovating ones.
As early as 2003, he drove “In Memoriam” (aka: “Missing: since January”), one of the first mainstream ARGs (Alternate Reality Game), to the top of North American sales charts. Created by Eric Viennot, one of the most respected European transmedia specialists, “In Memoriam” was a new genre of entertainment: at the crossroad of movies, video games and the Internet, it totally blurred the frontier between reality and fiction by using fictional sites, fictional information in real newspapers sites, emails, SMS, geolocalization and much more. Djamil successfully worked on expanding the franchise and worked on many other innovating projects on PC, DS, Wii, PS3, Xbox360, iPhone or iPad. He is currently working on Escoda (code name), the new Eric Viennot’s transmedia creation (PC, Tablets, webseries, Facebook game, iPhone game…) to be released by the end of this year.
Djamil also works for the Digital Communication Department of Lexis Numérique. He brings his expertise to brands and agencies in order to go beyond classic marketing strategies and build interactive stories. Projects he worked on were awarded at Grand Prix Strategies (France), Prix des Directeurs Artistiques (France) or One Show Entertainment (USA).
About Lexis Numérique Created in 1990, Lexis Numérique has two main activities. Lexis Numérique is one of the leading independent video game design studios in Europe and was one of the pioneers in transmedia with games such as “In Memoriam”. Lexis also created many successful kid games such as the Uncle Albert series (aka “Oncle Ernest”) or “Imagine: Fashion Designer” (aka “Léa Passion Mode”).
Lexis Numérique is also a Digital Communication activity. Among other clients are: Orange, McDonalds, Disney, La Grande Récré, La Société Générale, Henkel and agencies such as DDB, Euro RSCG or Duke. Lexis Numérique recently created a transmedia fiction with Capa for the launch of new season of “Braquo”, one of the major Canal+ series.
