Karla GECI FACEBOOK | Strategic Platform Partnerships
Karla works with broadcasters, media companies and content owners who want to leverage the Facebook Platform to build social applications and experiences on 3rd party web properties and Facebook Pages. From 2007 to 2009 Karla was Director of Marketing at Bebo where she drove strategic marketing partnerships with media owners and publishers. Prior to Bebo, Karla spent six years at RealNetworks as the European Marketing and PR Manager working across their mobile, software and digital music verticals, launching enterprise products and consumer services. Karla is originally from the US where she received a BSBA from the University of Pittsburgh, College of Business Administration. She has lived and worked in the UK since 2001.
Jed SIMMONS YOUTUBE | Director, Head of Original Programming, YouTube EMEA
Jed Simmons is Director, Head of Original Programming for YouTube in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where he is responsible for overseeing the original channels initiative across the region. Prior to joining Google, Jed was executive vice-president and co-founder of Next New Networks, overseeing business development, distribution and strategic partnerships. Google acquired Next New Networks in 2010. He has more than 20 years of experience in media, entertainment and consumer product businesses. His broad experience includes launching and managing start-ups, international expansion of US based businesses, managing Europe based businesses, acquisitions, and operating established businesses and turnarounds. Previously, he was chief operating officer of both the Sundance Group and Hanna-Barbera (a Turner Broadcasting company). Jed has also been involved in the launch of a number of start-up internet and digital media companies over the years, including Excite, Sportal, and eos Ventures (a London based early stage fund). Jed started his career in sports television with ABC Sports as a member of the 1984 Olympic Unit and has covered three Olympics (Sarajevo, Los Angeles and Seoul). He has served on several boards, including Sundance Catalog and Sundance Channel, the Tate Gallery advisory board, and NASN, the only TV Channel in Europe dedicated to North American Sport (sold to ESPN).
Christian WITT GOOGLE GERMANY | Strategic Partner Development Manager Google TV
Christian heads up European internationalization efforts for Google TV. Prior to Google, Christian was heading strategy and business development efforts at the intersection of TV and technology for Media Group RTL Germany, Bertelsmann’s leading broadcasting network, where he was driving the launch of HDTV by setting-up distribution platforms together with partner companies. Prior to RTL, Christian worked in Bertelsmann’s global corporate strategy unit, at vamedis*, an internet start-up in the healthcare vertical, as well as in mergers & acquisitions with Morgan Stanley. Christian holds a Diplom-Kaufmann, a European Master in Management, and a Diplôme Grande Ecole from ESCP Europe.

Blair DAY MYSPACE | VP Strategy
Before joining Myspace Mr. Day was SVP of Product at Connected Lyfe, and executive advisor to TV Anywhere and V1Labs of Denver, Colorado. He was a Senior Strategist for Bell Aliant’s IPTV and FTTH initiative in Canada. Blair also led the launch and growth of Bell Aliant’s IPTV service including contentacquisition. Mr. Day received three achievement awards and two marketing academy nominations for his accomplishments at Bell Aliant. Blair also spent several years at EastLink Cable in Canada, where he was responsible for the company’s residential and business product portfolios. Blair is an accomplished Open Wheel Formula racing driver.
