A longtime champion of children’s programming, Higgins is Executive Vice President of Children’s & Family Entertainment at FremantleMedia Enterprises. Higgins oversees the creative direction for FME’s kid’s business, as well as manages content, including acquisitions, development and sales of TV and digital programming. Current programming includes My Babysitter’s a Vampire with Fresh TV and Teletoon, Monsuno with Jakks Pacific and Dentsu for Nicktoons and Tree Fu Tom for Cbeebies. Before FremantleMedia, Higgins served as Head of Creative at WILDBRAIN where he was overseer to the company’s television and feature film development and production, including developing and executive producing the Emmy nominated, The Ricky Gervais Show on HBO. Before joining W!LDBRAIN, Higgins was Senior Vice President, Programming and Development for Cartoon Network’s kids businesses, where he managed Cartoon Network’s development, production, acquisition and programming departments and oversaw new original animated series, shorts, Cartoon Network features and specials. Among the many accomplishments during his tenure with the network, Higgins oversaw the development, production and launch of a number of hit series, including Chowder, Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, My Gym Partner’s A Monkey, Ben 10 and Camp Lazlo. Prior to Cartoon Network, Higgins was the Senior Vice President and Executive Producer for Classic Media, Inc. in New York City, where he executive produced the feature film, Underdog. Prior to his role at Classic Media, Inc., Higgins served as Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs for Sony Pictures Family Entertainment (SPFE), Vice President of Creative Affairs at Columbia TriStar Television Children’s Programming and acted as Director of Development at Nelvana Communications.

Nigel has worked in television since 1972, developing and producing a wide range of programmes before becoming Controller of Children’s and Family at TVS in 1986. In 1998, he moved to ITV to be Controller of Children’s and Youth Programmes, responsible for the commissioning and scheduling of all ITV children’s output. In 2000, he was appointed Controller of BBC Children’s overseeing the launch of two new channels, CBBC and CBeebies. In 2003, Nigel was invited back to ITV as Director of Programmes, where his remit was the scheduling and commissioning of the entire ITV output including all drama, entertainment, comedy, factual and religious programmes as well as the acquisition of all films and content from abroad. After 3 successful years overseeing major commissions such as X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, he joined RDF as Group Director of Kids, Family Entertainment and Drama, where he was responsible for commissions such as Mister Maker, Big Barn Farm, Escape from Scorpion Island, Dani’s House and the CBeebies landmark series, Waybuloo. After the merger with Zodiak Group in 2010, Nigel assumed his current role of CEO MEAA*, Zodiak UK Kids. He is also Chairman of our subsidiary production company, The Foundation.

Since 2006, Christophe Erbes is an international consultant in development and strategy for children and youths media, recently for Orange, Ubisoft, EBU and MFG Baden-Württemberg. Published kids books author (see www.theo-online.info), he's also writing scripts and bibles, currently for E1 on his books OSCAR AND HOO illustrated by Michael Dudok de Wit and in 2011 for Technicolor and Studio100. He's hosting numerous international conferences. Christophe studied Math, Telecom Science and a MBA. He began his career at Canal + International, went to PREMIERE (Hamburg) and was then successively Director of Programs at S-RTL/Disney (Cologne), Deputy MD of Nickelodeon Germany (Düsseldorf) and MD at Fox Kids / Jetix in Madrid, London and finally Munich.
