Ian DAVIES RED BEE MEDIA | Product Manager
Ian Davies is the Product Manager for Content Discovery at Red Bee Media, one of the world’s leading media management companies, providing multi-platform technology and creative solutions that help broadcasters, content rights holders, platform operators and brand owners to reach and engage with their audiences in new and traditional ways.
Ian joined Red Bee Media in January 2012 and is responsible for RedDiscoverTM, a portfolio of tailored-for TV content discovery solutions that blends rich metadata, powerful search, recommendations and personalisation, a pedigree in EPG Design and deployment and compelling companion application and second-screen development capabilities.
Bringing these services and solutions together establishes Red Bee Media as the UK’s first media management company to provide content owners, broadcasters and platform operators alike with a holistic content discovery proposition.
Ian has more than 15 years experience in digital media. He was previously Head of Product Development at the Press Association and has held senior roles at ITV, Orange and AOL, where he’s devised and delivered digital strategy and led teams to create websites, video-on-demand services and apps that have delivered significant, loyal and engaged audiences.

Bill SCOTT EASEL TV LIMITED | Chief Operating & Commercial Officer
Bill Scott is one of the founders of easeltv and its Chief Operating and Commercial Officer. The company was formed in 2009 and has grown quickly. The easeltv Suggested TV software platform makes it easy to publish content on multiple Connected TV platforms including Samsung, LG, TiVo, Google TV and YouView.
Bill is working with broadcasters, pay TV operators and major consumer brands to exploit the potential of connected TV with a true understanding of the TV’s context in the home and the need to entertain and stimulate the audience. easeltv’s Clients include Virgin Media, All3Media, Channel 4 and TiVo.
Prior to starting easeltv, Bill created and led the IBM Digital Media Consulting & Systems Integration practice, which delivered a variety of interactive TV, IPTV and Digital Media projects over 9 years. Bill personally managed end-to-end business-driven projects that often started with strategy and moved through execution to operation. In this role, Bill conceived the original idea behind YouView for the BBC in 2005.

James MILWARD SECRET LOCATION | President & Executive Producer
James Milward is the founder of the award-winning digital agency, Secret Location, and a regular speaker on digital entertainment, transmedia and interactive documentary. An entrepreneur as well as a producer, he has developed and built several original concepts into successful IP and venture-funded businesses, including the mobile music discovery application, Herd.fm, and FanViewr, a Facebook app that extends and deepens the TV experience for fans.
As executive producer at Secret Location, James has built numerous award-winning, large-scale digital entertainment and brand projects. In just four short years, he has taken Secret Location from a small boutique to a bustling agency and has secured a place as one of the top entertainment and transmedia production houses in Canada. Under his watch, Secret Location has won over 50 awards, including multiple AToMIC, Creativity, Clio and Marketing Awards. The agency has also been nominated for an International Emmy, shortlisted three times for a Webby Award as well as a Cannes Lion Award (2011).
James is a regular speaker at international conferences around the world including: SXSW Interactive, FITC, nextMEDIA, the Banff World Television Festival, Realscreen, Kidscreen, FNC Montreal and meshmarketing. He also serves on the digital advisory board of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, Strategy Magazine’s AToMIC Summit, The Playback Summit and nextMEDIA.
He has a degree in Economics from Bishop's University and a postgraduate degree in Interactive Art and Entertainment from the New Media Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. James worked extensively in TV commercial production and documentary film, prior to defecting to the dark arts of digital.
