    THE MAKING OF A BRANDED ENTERTAINMENT FRANCHISE:

    Fact Checkers Unit is an award winning web series currently in its second season. Season 1 was produced with NBC and Samsung, featured Jon Heder, Karolina Kurkova, Pauley Perrette, Alex Trebek, Dave Navarro. Season 2 is produced with MTV and Samsung and features Moby, TPain, Run DMC, Mary Lynn Rajskub, TJ Miller. Learn the story of how a Sundance short film made the unusual journey to a hit web series from the producers including putting together financing, sponsorship, distribution, celebrity cameos and the wild ride of production itself.

    WESTFIELD CASE STUDY:

    Global shopping centre brand Westfield commissioned Story to help launch Europe’s largest urban retail mall, Westfield Stratford City. The answer was a socially optimised campaign connecting the story of Westfield with the story of East London – both stories of reinvention. Created in under 30 days, the integrated campaign included original and crowdsourced content, a documentary film series and commissioned photo essays, blogger outreach and Facebook competition. In just its first week, more than a million visitors passed through Westfield Stratford City’s doors, smashing all previous records.

    Andrew has over twenty years experience working in marketing communications with brands. He is a partner at Experience Communications where he runs contentworx, the branded content specialist offering brands strategic advice on developing content led marketing strategies. He has worked on major high profile branded content campaigns during this time and is pushing the boundaries in this area. Brands include Orange, Intel, Mercedes, Tower Records, Sony Ericsson, Microsoft and Camelot.

    He is also CEO of the BCMA (Branded Content Marketing Association) which is designed to bring together and benefit a broad spectrum of content creators and owners including organisations from the advertising, brand development, sponsorship, media, broadcasting, programming and entertainment industries. He has been instrumental in developing the contentmonitor evaluation system which is set to become the industry standard.

    He contributes to the advertising industry by lecturing at Bournemouth University, West Herts College and New Buckinghamshire University where he is also on the Advisory Board for the Master’s Degree course in Marketing. He has appeared on BBCnews24, CNBC and Bloomberg and has been quoted in the National and Trade Press on key industry issues.
