    CONTENT 360 – NEW TRANSMEDIA CONCEPTS IN FICTION

    Friday, 30th March 2012 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

    Content360 is a competition program that is all about discovering and nurturing new talent. It aims to act as a launch pad for talented creators to get their ideas seen and potentially developed.

    The second category “NewTransmediaConcepts,” calls for innovative transmedia concepts that mix video storytelling with gaming, live events, mobile applications, integrated marketing, dual screen content, or any additional techniques for enriching the story and the user experience. Contestants will be pitching in front of a jury of transmedia commissioners from major broadcasters from around the world. The winner will be awarded a 3600 Euros prize.

    iLand is a music-based story concept with opportunity for cross platform integration delivered across online and mobile games, second-screen music experiences, and interactive stories. 
    It’s a story of two islands, tranquil iLand vs chaotic xLand, where the audience can choose their favorite island. The audience can then watch the adventure unfold by viewing episodes from their islands perspective, and play for their island, earning points in the games they play and the apps they download. Which side will you take?

    Improving skills trough fashion accesories, making a rock band and teaming up are the only way to survive. Play, share,  learn, mutate, the only risk is to grow. Unicorn vs Zombies.: Younghood is not forever and Nature is not playing anymore.

    « Anarchy » by TelFrance Série
    “Anarchy” is a transmedia project of a series created for the Web and for TV where both universes interact. The web audience is invited to contribute live to the development of the Web story, and almost in the real time to the writing of the TV series script. Innovative mobile applications are also being developed to give the audience an extended experience on its second screen. In other terms, ANARCHY is the first series of which you can be the author.

    « Treasures » by The company P
    Treasures is a primetime drama series built for audience participation. When Dev and her friends explore a modern myth about treasures, they stumble on something that will reshape humanity. The audience becomes key to the main characters, engaging through social media and treasure events enhanced by mobile apps.

    « A Tale of Two Johns » by the London Quest Company
    A Tale of Two Johns is an interactive drama about two men in London and Paris whose lives are turned upside down by the financial crisis.
    Their stories unfold in real time, in the real world and, by using web films, social media and live events, our audience become active players in the drama. 
    By empowering people to shape a story about the human impact of global recession, this project offers a unique window on where we stand as Europeans.

    Sebastian Huenerfeld started as a producer for TV crime movies (well-known "Tatort" in Germany) for more than seven years. As a commissioning editor for SWR, Sebastian kicked off and was responsible for the first German transmedia series - "Alpha 0.7 - Total Control" in 2010. A near future world told via internet, Radio, TV and real life events. Since last year Sebastian works with the ZDF for TV and new media.

    Fabienne Fourquet has been Director of Digital Content at Canal+ since July 2011. Holding a MBA from ESSEC Business School in France, she started her career inNew Yorkat A+E Networks, a joint venture of The Hearst Corporation, Disney-ABC Television Group and NBC-Universal. At A+E Networks, she’s been holding various marketing positions and was in charge of launching the international digital distribution business, before being named Sr Director of International Digital Media. She started at Canal+ in 2010 as a WebTV Sr Manager at CANAL+ OVERSEAS before joining the Digital Products Division.

    Jason DaPonte has over 15 years experience working where media and technology collide – and he loves it.  He is Managing Director and Executive Producer at THE SWARM - a digital creative company.

    Before that he spent the last 3 years working in the midst of the mobile content and services explosion as Managing Editor of BBC Mobile, was Executive Producer for BBC ONLINE and producer of Economist.com.  He is a board advisor to both Sunday Drive, an in-car mobile content startup based in Los Angeles, and Endz2Endz – a charity that helps disadvantaged youths learn digital and storytelling skills.

    About THE SWARM
    THE SWARM is a digital creative company that specialises in digital content strategy, creation and concept development.  Last year it launched TubeTap (a mobile app for London commuters) and is currently in production on FIREBRACE, a cross-platform documentary about an Aboriginal storyteller and the power of stories.  THE SWARM has also worked with: The British Museum, Visting Arts, Oxjam, Stroome and others.
