Mette is Head Of Documentaries And Co-Productions for DANISH DR TV.
Mette is responsible for documentaries on four DR-channels showing some 1100 hours of documentaries and factual programming in all genres per year. In addition to acquisitions of documentaries she commissions both international and local Danish productions for DR2. She is board member of Steps International and spearheaded ‘Why Democracy?’.
Mette has supported many award winning films from all over the world from the Oscar-winning ‘Taxi to the Dark Side’ to Chinese 'Please Vote for Me’ and the 2010 Sundance-winning ‘The Red Chapel’ as well as the Danish Oscar nominee ‘Burma VJ’.
About DR - The Danish Broadcast Corporation DR is a national public service channel financed by license fees. It has four television channels: DR1 is the main channel which broadcasts for the broad audience. DR2 has a special focus on political debate, comedy, history, science and culture. DRK is a new channel from 2009. It focuses on history, culture and art. And last DRHD which started HD broadcasting in 2009. The focus on DRHD is nature, machines, extremes and huge things.
The documentary profile on DR1 and DR2 The four channels have various slots for documentaries with durations varying from30’to90’. In addition, DR2 has one theme night a week which also includes domestic or international documentaries. DR1 broadcasts documentaries with a wide appeal to the Danish population such as current affairs, agenda setting documentaries and strong human interest features. DR2 broadcasts several documentaries a week ranging from history, science, culture, human interest and current affairs to more cutting edge and agenda setting documentaries.

Ove Rishøj Jensen is in charge of the EDN web site, various documentary workshops and seminars, selects projects to pitching sessions and handles communication. Ove’s work with the EDN web site has focused on the development of a platform, where a network as geographical divided as EDN’s, can have a meeting point for collaboration and information sharing. Latest format is The EDN Online Pitching Session, where documentary projects with a specific thematic focus are pitching to a selected group of financiers via an online videoconference system., Ove Rishøj Jensen holds a master degree in film studies with additional studying of cultural journalism and humanistic computer informatics.
