Life Force is a major factual series exploring the mysteries of evolution.
This co-production between NHNZ, NHK, France Televisions, Science Channel and Animal Planet, unravels the origins of how and why some animals in extraordinary environments evolved to be so strange and unique. CCTV will join a planned second series.

Madam Suzanne Gouin has been working in the media sector for more than 20 years. She has been CEO of TV5 Québec Canada since August 2002, and prior to that held the position of Vice President of Business Publications at Transcontinental Media. Madam Gouin began her career at Radio-Canada (Canadian public broadcaster) and rapidly progressed from the position of content analyst in the News department to that of Executive producer. She has also acted as Executive Producer at Pixcom and was Vice President of News at CFCF12, before undertaking a mandate as Director General for the Montreal ethnic television station, CJNT. Madam Gouin seat on different boards of company in the health, education, energy and telecommunications.

Shin Murata is an executive producer of NHK Enterprises, an arm of the Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation).  After studying forestry, he joined NHK in 1981 and since produced numerous documentaries especially in natural history.  He has extensive experience in fieldwork, and also has been involved in various international co-productions including “Wild Asia” “Equator” and “Life Force”, an award-winning HD series produced by NHK, NHNZ and Discovery Channel.  He is currently working as executive producer for “Life Force 2” series, another HD co-production with NHNZ.  One of his famous production “Satoyama: Japan’s Secret Water garden” won “Best of Festival” at the 29th International Wildlife Film Festival, 2005 and also Prix Italia 2005.
